Dear Athletes,
Welcome to the VPBank VnExpress Marathon Ho Chi Minh City Midnight – the spectacular
kickoff to the 2025 VnExpress Marathon series, which will take place on Sunday, February
23rd, with the participation of 12,000 athletes.
Returning to the city named after President Ho Chi Minh, the race continues to mark two
prestigious and experienced names in organizing and operating the running race system,
VPBank and VnExpress Marathon, in a strategic partnership dedicated to crafting excep-
tional running experiences.
All four race distances start on Truong Dinh Street, leading runners through the iconic Tao
Dan Park, a cherished landmark of the city. All 12,000 participants will compete on a scenic
route showcasing Saigon's most well-known attractions, including the Independence
Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Bach Dang Wharf. Athletes will also experience the
youthful energy of District 1 and the modern architecture of Thu Thiem, the city’s emerging
urban hub, before finishing on Le Duan Street near the Zoological Gardens. This vibrant
route offers a unique perspective on the "city that never sleeps," revealing its bustling pace
of life day and night through different lenses.
